Tapestry Of Colours (TOP) 2012

It was 2 years ago that UTP Chinese Orchestra had collaborated with Keat Hwa, Hua Lian and Valdor high schools to perform in what was the biggest and most important turnaround for the UTP’s Chinese Orchestra society.

2 years later, now 2012, it’s time for another round of Tapestry of Colours for the Malaysian citizens to enjoy.

The event will be splitted to the 9th and 10th of April 2012, which will be held at Dewan Philharmonik Petronas, KLCC.

This time, it’s gonna be even bigger that I’m actually afraid that it’s so big LOL

On the 9th, it is assumed that we will be having a full concerto for the Chinese Orchestra throughout the whole night – together with our ever professional players from high schools, namely Keat Hwa, Hua Lian and Sin Min.

Maestro Qu, the top conductor from Taiwan, will be coming in and conduct a few repertoires with us alongside with our usual conductor. Not only that, along side him, he’ll be bringing in special guests, such as singer and erhu-ist from China and a local star from Malaysia, who will be performing with us as well.

The details are still quite blurry as of now but this time, it’s surely big !

Special VIP guests such as YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and his wife Tun Datuk Siti Hasmah, will be attending the event too.

As of for the 10th, it’ll be a mixture of cultural performance by the students of UTP. Aside from that, those who are a huge fan of Adibah Noor ( the actress who acted in Nasi Lemak 2.0 ) will be performing live at the Dewan Philharmonik Petronas, KLCC too !

As of now, I think the only way to grab the tickets would be buying them at the Dewan Philharmonik Petronas’ ticket counter.

Come and support me on the 9th as I will be performing too then ! =p ( have to try hard so that I won’t get kicked out by the conductor :3 )

After A Long Time ~

It’s the 5th day of February !

And my, how long was it since I updated my blog. Not that I don’t have the time to do so, but rather, there doesn’t seem to be any motivation in pushing me forward to write something inspirational or just on about anything.

Although I must write from time to time so that my dear old English will not deteriorate from the influence of the 9Gag culture LOL

It’s been exactly a week since I’ve reached UTP and I’m heartbroken to see that nothing has change throughout the 4 months of breaks. Sigh ~

The food is still bad in my opinion, favourite stalls are closing down one another, the bad ones popping out in every corner and extending their business in other villages like parasites when their food are actually terrible. Apart from 3 colours of food – orange, red, & yellow – there’s doesn’t seem to be any improvements from there on too.

Yes, I miss home.

See ~ She misses me too ! =p

And yes, I managed to settled myself nicely to a new environment again after 4 months. Though the weather here in Perak is always hot, I love the weather at night better. Much much cooling ~

My window’s facing the south-east direction and so, I get to see a sunrise everyday ~

If I were to be in somewhere colder, I might just love this spot infinitely and enjoy the sunrise instead of the hot sun blazing through my windows LOL

But alas, I always reminded myself . . .

“That very sun out there by your window says that it will be a good day each day. No matter what, there’s hope even during hard times.”

The coming month will be a busy and packed month for me.

Can’t believe that I’ll be having my first post in 2012 this late ~ ! !

It’s already the 14th and I’ve just finished watching the awesome match between none other than the Malaysian’s favourite Datuk Lee Chong Wei and China’s rising star, Chen Long !

Quite frankly, it’s been quite a long time since I’ve watched a badminton match via TV even though I’m having my breaks now. Not that I’m no longer interested, but I can’t seem to grasp the time of when the matches will be held LOL

A computer geek who doesn’t know what’s happening at the outside world =p

But I’ve been having some good rally’s in badminton with my friends though. Won a doubles match with some arrogant kid the other day in straight sets. * boast boast * LOL

In two more weeks, I’ll be tucking myself into bed, getting ready to fly back and meet my old friend in Tronoh, Perak =D

Guess who? Universiti Teknologi Petronas or Universiti Tiada Perempuan or Universiti Terlampau Panas or whatever the kids called it these days >.<

Actually, the fact that I’m going back to uni is kinda exciting. More challenges building its way towards me, and I can have endless time of badminton there too for free ! Can’t wait to play more players back there. * hinting the seniors and juniors =p * Have to push my level up a notch these few days to get back in shape before going back to that place =D

I guess this post is all about badminton huh? I guess my life at home lately is a really tad boring. >o<

And as for those who thinks that 2012 is the end of the world, don’t freak out. Why ?

As the video mentioned, if you think that 2012 is the end of the world, then you might as well give me your money, cats,dogs, cars, house first ! What does those matter to you anyway? You’re gonna be died either way right? So don’t give up hope and just do like what you usually do everyday.

That’s life =D

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Since fireworks are kinda “legalised”, I guess we can expect fiery competition between neighbours this year huh? =p

Ending 2011 , Starting 2012

Okay . . .So it’s the last day of 2011 right?

You know what’s the best part about it ? It’s a public holiday on Monday =p

Since it’s 2011, I’ll reveal 11 major things that stumbled upon me this year.

1. So one of the first major thing that happened to me during the start of the year was . . . ugh… All I could remember was the fact that I finally changed my IC after using the old, spoilt one for 19 years.

Old one never goes, new one never comes ~ Beh~~~ Malaysian law stated that teenagers of age should change their ICs when they reached the age of 18 and before 21 lah ! =p

Anyways, I’m handsome in my new IC but the photo taken made my skin looked dark.

2. Performed in what would be the most pieces in an orchestra performance in front of thousands next. Finally Red Sonata Fiesta II is back and no doubt, the crowds anticipating our event after a successful first season of it the year before.

But this time, I get to play ALL the pieces in it ~ Yay me ~

Back at the days, since I was still a noobie, I was only allowed to perform in certain easier pieces only. But then, I was a principal of my section and I had to performed all the pieces included, with much pleasure ~ !

It was great collaborating with other schools and with a total of 80++ performers ( I think ), the sound produced was magnificto ~ !

3. The next big thing is . . . . Ipoh StarWalk? LOL

Call me crazy but this is this is the first time I’m participating in such stuffs. The only reason I wanted to do this was because I’m not at home in Kuching and I’m not lazy to do it and it’s healthy too ^ ^

Plus , I could get a free shirt ! =p

And the walk falls on a Father’s Day too ! I walked the road for Dad ~ There’s a rhyme in there right? LOL

4. And the turning point of my life this year. Finally gotten myself a girlfriend *grins*

No! My eyes are not small ! >.<

She’s a fine lady for me and just well enough. And I’m grateful to have her ~~ ^ ^

Although we’re experiencing an LDR situation, we’re gonna get through eveything that comes our way, ok ? Hugs ~

5. Hmmm… The next thing is a bit sad for me though.

THE ENDING OF HARRY POTTER SERIES !!

This I could boast to my children next time. What was my childhood memories enjoyed from reading of the novels by J.K. Rowling has finally reached the big motion picture and the movie of this big motion picture is coming to an end !

I’m just glad that I get to see this ending being shown in the big screen in this lifetime. Farewell, Harry Potter ~

6. I guess I’m running out of topics now? LOL I celebrated my birthday this year though ~ >o<

It was a normal birthday with my family and no, this year that ain’t friends celebrating my birthday with me last year. Which reminds me of how they kidnapped me, on my birthday, shirtless initially.

7. I’ve been to TAIWAN !!!

Organized and sponsored by UTP, I get a free chance to go Taiwan with my fellow chinese orchestra mates chosen and it was an eye opening experience !

Performing together with one of the highly regarded orchestra team in Taiwan was great ! People there are friendly and polite and kids there demonstrate awesome skills too.

Love to have them coming to Malaysia and perform with us again =D

I hope that the year 2012, I would be going somewhere even further. Europe perhaps? * wink wink *

8. It’s gotta be my first musical competition in my life.

With no music background equipped, I joined UTP’s Chinese Orchestra and persevere myself until I finally get the hang of it. Now, I’m given tasks like other members to score well in this competition, namely the 21st Century International Cultural Arts Competition (I hope I spelled it correctly >o< )

My section managed to get a Silver ! Not bad on our first try eh? Let’s try again and do even better next year ! =)

9. Hmmm. . . I did wish that I must get a better result than the previous year. And finally, all the hard work started bearing fruits.

What started in my undergraduate life was a mere 3.27 GPA in the first semester. Persevered, I determined to make those changes and gotten myself a 3.57 GPA on the 2nd semester and a whooping 3.80 GPA on the 3rd.

True, compared to the other geniuses out there who are consistently better than me, I alone however managed to overcome myself and score even better.

Awesome !

10. Number 10 would be that I’m finally coming home after one year abroad, away from my home and family for education purposes.

It’s a great thing that I am safely tucked away at home for four months but sooner or later . . . this leads to point number 11.

11. I started replaying Pokemon !

Not that I played the older versions though. I started playing the new ones, like Black version or White version.

Honestly, I knew none of the Pokemon in those versions and I only used ones those are cute enough for me =p

It’s been a fun 2011 year for me.

What’s in store in 2012 for me is completely unthinkable by me.

Engineering Team Project coming up on mid year.

A might-be-season-3 of Red Sonata Fiesta.

Badminton tourneys all year long ( if got choosen that is =p )

Studies studies and even more studies to do.

It’s not an easy year for me, but what the heck, I love challenges =D

First up !

I would like a new erhu~ My old one is still playable but the sound given out is a bit. . . . flat O.O||

Secondly !

I’ve always been dreaming of having an oversize camera to carry around my neck until it’s very tiring. Oversize cameras take better pictures whereas my digital camera isnt. . . oh well ~

NEXT !

Since it’s launching, I would so much like this new generation of cool tablets ~ ! It makes me feel important and it good looking, ain’t it? I could bring it around with me, doing all sorts of things. But the most important part is, it makes me look cool ! LMAO

Lastly ~ !

I would like an Android phone too, My current one is running on Symbian OS and it sure do lags EVERYTIME without fail =)

I hope it’s not much for what I’m asking Santa. I’ve calculated the cost for ya. It’s around . . . . . RM 5000 minimum. Small favour for you from an adult =p

Stamping Bills and Invoices . . . . Like A Boss !

Yes yes… I know . . .

I haven’t update my blog for quite some time now.

Guess what?

Growing mushroom on my head fails !

Finally got myself a part time job and it’s the during the last two months too !

How on earth did I spend half of my semester breaks ( 4 months holiday breaks ) without feeling “sien”, don’t ask me. All I know is now that I looked back, 2 months really just passed by in just a blink of an eye.

Now back to my part time job, you can say that I’m an office boy? LOL

Doing winter part time job together with my sis who had just finally graduated from Form 5. * clap clap *

From now onwards, however, the time passed by, super slowly for me.

Waking up at 6:45am in the morning everyday, show up at work at 8:00am, worked like a cow until 5:00pm in the evening.

Every single day, payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, etc. will be handed to me for for stamping and filing as well. And it’s the end of the year too, and the auditors will be coming in very soon.

That’s the reason why I’ve worked as a cow everyday.

At least, I get to stamp things like a boss ~ ! ! LOL

Besides that, recently I got hooked to the Running Man virus.

Every single time I watched every episode, I never fail to laugh throughout the show.

On the other hand, I’m still not getting any fitter now that I have a part time job. I’m still waiting for people here to ask me out for badminton though.

Hello people ~~~ WHEN DO YOU GUYS WANNA GO FOR BADMINTON ???! ! I’m dead bored without breaking any sweat everyday larrrr ~~! !

Snow In Malaysia – Signs of Christmas

It’s the last month of the year again !

December ~

A joy for small children, a free life for teenagers having their holidays, headache for companies who have little time arranging their invoices till the audits comes in. LOL

Some of my seniors abroad from Malaysia are experiencing extreme cold weathers with the lowest I’ve seen on Facebook, a –7 degrees Celcius.

Hard to imagine living in a place which has the temperature lower than ice. I love cold days but having that temperature is way out of my cozy circle >o<

And if you’re wondering whether Malaysia really does snow, heck no man !

Malaysia’s version of snow is equivalent to . . . .

Yes ! Rain !

And yes, it’s dangerous too.

Heavy downpour seems to occur throughout the Peninsular these days and you could just see headlines at most newspaper reading :

Every year nearing Christmas, it’ll rain for sure. But most of the time ( as far as I could remember ) BBQ on the 25th never seems to rain. XDD

Areas which are not prone to floods are reported to be flooded. I wonder how things are going at Thailand though.

Anyways, fellow readers, if you have nothing to do, just stay at home and don’t go out. Massive traffic jams are everywhere whenever there’s a heavy downpour and Kuching is not excluded as well !

Remember to keep in clothes which are definitely not dry in those moody weathers and don’t be like me, leaving them out while a downpour is going on and on LOL

Christmas is coming peeps. Anything you readers want??

I just want a happy life ahead =)

Although I’m a Buddhist but to my Christian friends, remember that on 25th is the birthday of Jesus Christ and not because of the appearance of Santa Claus giving free presents ( a few friends of mine were brainstorming this question and I just can’t resist to pop this up )

So far, no mushroom on the top of my head yet.

Improvements

It’s been like, what, 5 days since I came back from UTP?

Things at home are starting to progress slowly with me nothing to do now and then, while I, on the other hand, keeps getting bigger in size ( the tummy part =.= )

I’ve been kinda active in Facebook lately again ( when did I never? LOL ) and just can’t stop being happy to see that UTPCO is evolving and it’s family, growing as one of it’s long term member.

Honestly speaking, I felt that we’re really like a family in that one small corner of the room.

And the favourite spot for most of the CO members to release their stress is here : -

At the end of the session, you will surely hear people “piling palang” at those poor drums =p

And seeing everyone was there to perform in the Foundation Graduation Ceremony, made me jealous ! ! !

This is my first ever performance which I missed since I started performing under UTPCO TT_______________TT

Anyways, I hope that this family will continue to grow larger, each family member get to know each other well and enjoy each other’s presence. There’s no stress involve in here =)

There’s no shame in a poor performance if you’re not that good. Everybody starts from zero, including me too.

Now I can’t wait for next year to start so that I could go back and play along with them ~ =D

12°C At The Highlands

How was the competition??

IT WAS FUN !

Genting was still same old same old. There’s nothing really more to add to it.But being there with different groups of people each time I go, brings a new feel to it.

This time, it’s the Chinese Orchestra ( CO ) people ~ ! !

But we’re not being there just for fun. We’re there for business !

We were asked and organized by the management from UTP to enter and compete in the prestigious 21st Century International Arts Festival this year, and being the sole university participant in the entire competition, we felt OLD !

But I’m glad to see familiar faces of whom we have collaborating together in other performances previously. But this time, we’re competing one another instead of performing together.

The competition's divided into 4 main categories ( mainly Dance, Band, Chinese Orchestra and Choir ) and many other sub-divisions after that.

I’m proud to say that the one month spent back in UTP was worth it.

We trained diligently and the results were obvious ( although we were kinda skeptical at first =p )

The final results produced by to-be-engineers from UTP :

2 Golds, 3 Silver from UTP Chinese Orchestra (UTPCO)

This certainly is not a bad start. Actually, this is an excellent start for our group ! First time in the competition and there’s no bronze for us.

I’m kinda proud and grateful for this >o<

As the vice-president for the club ( cheh ~ ), I’m super happy with our groups performances ! Although there were minor hiccups along the way, but heck, nothing’s perfect right?

Perseverance is the key to success and this has brought us to where we are that day.

Sometimes, dealing with people frustrates me a lot. People are uncontrollable. Keeping tabs on everybody and at the same time trying to maintain the relationship between you and the rest of the world is no easy task.

Sometimes, I just don’t understand what he or she is thinking about. You set the rules, you asked people to abide to YOUR rule. But in the end, it is you who break them.

This shows that you’re no different from the rest.

You blame other people for not going along what you want. You want things to revolve around you. That’s what you expect.

Truth is, who doesn’t want to?

I definitely liked that if people are going with my tide, following the waves together how I wanted it.

But that’s just a harsh lie of reality.

Sometimes, you just have to suck it all up, digest it and let it be..

People expect you to be part of the team. You don’t look down on others when they’re weak. This shows that you’re no different than a rotten apple.

Even though you’re a much more skilled or intelligent person and the members around you are inferior to you., but when people play as a team, come join and play as a team.

Being leader is tough. People looked up to you, expecting you to produce marvellous results while they sit there idled, pushing the blame to other people.

Sometimes, it’s hard for me. It’s tiring, to be precise.

But this won’t get me down.

I’m just a never-say-die person, so this kind of thing, even if it wears me out, doesn’t mean that I give up in the long run.

It is just making me stronger.

It’s my last week here in UTP this month.

Trip and Fall + August Rush

Have you ever experienced the situation, when you’re walking and walking and walking, and out of nowhere on a plan flat road, you just kinda stumbled and trip or tangled your own legs?

I sure do, and I’ve seen people doing those too ( lucky that I’m not the weird one =p )

Wondering if this is a kind of sickness or not >.<

Just finished watching August Rush and I gotta say, it really changed my perspective on what music is all about.

True, I’m in the Chinese Orchestra but you know, the movie brings out the feeling that could reached your hearts.

It’s Been A Month Since

When was my last post since I wrote a post on my blog?

October 19th !

It’s been a month since then !

Nothing much to update ever since the start of my 4 months holidays. Joined a local badminton tourney in Kuching and my first match is up against the state players of Sarawak. Ironic.

It seems that I can never win any badminton tourney no matter how good I am (cheh ~ ). It’s either I’m up against the champion of the tournament in the first round or I’m gonna twist my ankle and lose the whole thing entirely.

And I’m trying hard to rid out the pressure faced from the tournament. So far, so good.

Joined another tourney in UTP, yes I’m back in UTP. But I’m gonna elaborate it later on, on why on earth am I back on this forsaken place.

First 2 rounds up against professional players. Not gonna admit that they are good enough to beat me though. =p If there’s someone to blame on why we lose, it’ll gotta be my nervous and reckless shots that got us there.

Oh well ~ At least I joined in for fun. Gonna buff up for more from now on.

Losing has never been the end for me. It just means that the winner have to be wary of me the next time I meet him again as I’m gonna try to pawn his ass more than the last. Sorry, I’m just simply the never-say-die person. ^ ^

Now, back to why I’m back to UTP – Universiti Terlampau Panas – although I gotta admit it’s gotta colder since then. End of the year kot?

The Chinese Orchestra is joining a competition, something like a National Cultural Competition or some sort. There will be dance competition and also chinese musical competition. I don’t think I have to elaborate what the Chinese Orchestra would join right, unless you have a brain of the size of a pea.

The competition is set on next Monday 21st. So whoever is at Genting Highlands, please come support us ! If you’re having exams, just leave it at that. LOL

Went down to Ipoh last Friday with almost all of the Chinese Orchestra members to watch . . . . . . . .

Seriously, a must watch for those who are having the peak of their lives ( like me =p). It gets you reminiscing you what high school and going into adult lives feels like.

Did I just say 18++ ? LOL

It’s not actually 18++. They didn’t actually show it laa please. But it’s my first experience to watch a film with those “inappropriate” scenes inside a cinema.

Correction – a Malaysian cinema

Normally they would filter those scenes out, but even if they did, then you would be better off not watching the movie as those are the laughable moments for the viewers to enjoy. LOL

Wondering if the cinemas in Kuching have put up this movie or not. Didn’t seem to have heard any of my friends watching them or maybe they just don’t have any interest in the movie kot?

The only regrettable thing I did was – I did not watch it with my girlfriend –.-

Finished Battlefield 3 with the lowest specs with my lappy. Not the best I’ve played so far. Not as good as Call of Duty MW3 in my opinion. But I guess the pro thing about Battlefield 3 is it’s HD graphics in-game play, which my lappy can’t support.

Currently playing COD: MW3. Halfway through and loving it’s plots unfolding and intense gameplay. 10/10 from me.

Awaiting Assassin’s Creed: Revelations to be released and it’s a good way to end my 2011 gaming world. LOL

I guess it’s just that for now for one whole month?

There’s actually nothing much to update really. Sticking at home all day long trying to grow mushrooms out of my hair.

Tour de Taiwan By Ourselves – Tam Shui (淡水)

Picking up where I left off.

So we had a day – free and easy – around in Taiwan as the tour guide loved to have us lads have a nice time travelling around Taipei ourselves instead of just plainly sticking to the hectic schedule visiting sites without us actually appreciating them much. LOL

Instead of spending the day cooped inside our hotel after those stressful and tired nights, we decided . . . .

To travel outside of Taipei – Tam Shui (淡水)

It sounds challenging at first, but what the heck? It’s once in your lifetime doing and it’s something I could certainly be proud and boast off.

The public transportation of Taiwan was very much helpful and informative. We hardly had any trouble at all going to Tam Shui.

Of course, arriving there gave us ( me and my friends ) a sense of achievement.

One of the places that is a must go is the Fisherman’s Wharf (淡水漁人碼頭).

And no doubt, it was a beautiful place ( although recommended for all travellers to go during the evenings )

And it’s just located a few minutes away from Tam Shui too !

The clouds were dark by the time we arrived there around 10 in the morning, but thanks to our lucky stars that it didn’t rain on that day. =P

What Malaysians do best when arriving somewhere new – camwhore !

It’s a great place really. There’s a bit of a history of this place ( lazy to find XD ) but check this one out below, there are also moral-stories-signs to be found around there. I only get to find one though. LOL

Fresh air, wonderful breeze, cooling weather.

It’s a good place for the elderly to just sit back and watch the sunset of their lives everyday. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city and you wouldn’t want to miss out this place if you are searching a place to relax. Just. . . . . go during the evenings >o<

After resting our good feet there, we took a boat ride to the other side Tam Shui –

Tam Shui Old Street

A noteworthy place to shop for souvenirs and finding “small foods” to eat if you are going to or in Tam Shui

You’ll see lots of those whacky yet cool stuffs along that LONG street. And the people there are just way too many – for a 2pm kind of time. Don’t these people ever have to work??? LOL

We ended up leaving the place around 3 – 4pm and took a MRT ride to Wufenpu ( 五分埔 ), which normally opens up after 2pm.

There’s nothing worthy of taking pictures at there actually.

It’s kinda like a night market – only that it sells mostly women clothings and handbags and accesories.

Heaven for women – hell for men.

And ( true story ) if you’re just like a guy like me who hates shopping and just loved to glance through things and walks off ( if I’m not shopping for my stuffs though), it will take you AT LEAST one hour to finish up the whole place.

If you’re a woman who is obsessive in shopping, well, I can only bid the guys accompanying you there good luck.

A Little Bit Of This And That – in TAIWAN !

Alright. Finally gotten myself an free afternoon to continue my experiences in Taiwan.

It’ll be just a short mix of what and where I’ve been there with some photos ( I’m seriously not gonna upload 3 ++ gigs of photos here =.= )

So, we went to CCU during the last post right? So how does it feel having a university high up in the mountains? >o<

During that night, we were brought to the Shilin night market.

But before that, we had our first ever steamboat, UNDERGROUND !

Well, technically, you’re given slices of pork (limited) to enjoy plus other stuffs as well.

And also, the best part yet for those sweet eaters out there, you have this !!

The Häagen-Dazs ice-cream.

And to add a cherry at the topping, you get to eat,

many flavours of cakes , both all-you-can-eat style.

Are they good or what?!

But I dunno how much they cost though, it was free for us anyway =D

Shilin Night Market

As you can see, it’s not the weekends.

It’s just one of those weekdays ! And you have this MANY people strolling there.

You will have to walk shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you if you’re to survive this market LOL

You can find yourself cheap things here nevertheless.

Sports wear and shoes are one of the many things you would love to set your eyes upon. =)

So we were brought into our new hotel in Taipei away from Hsinchu.

The name of our hotel is Paradise Hotel.

A real paradise alright, once you’ve entered, a splendid scenery laid openly right in front of your eyes LOL

And that’s just one of them. * wink wink *

Next day, a must go for those loving Chinese literates.

The National Palace Meseum of Taiwan

Seriously, there are a few weird things inside.

For example, like those ancient ways of testing whether you are virgin or not using a cabbage or something like that. =.=

Yeah, I know. Weird right???

But in the end, we ended up

camwhoring =.=

Noticed the little headsets we are wearing there?

The guides inside used these small microphones to tell the visitors what they are seeing so that it’ll be less noisy that way.

Can’t seem to remember where we were going next. I suppose it should be

Taipei 101

Did you know it took us how long and how far from Taipei 101 to find this angle??!!!

A few of us didn’t get to go up to the 89th floor ( I think ) of the observatory to have a splendid view of Taipei.

I’m one of them. =P

But they said the lift was the fastest they have ever stepped on.

OK – a must try next time if I’m going =X

Again, those who did not go up, we camwhored around there .

Failed attempt to make a “LOVE” >.<

And the stuffs in Taipei 101, unless you have the ka-ching, you might just as well laugh at yourself why they’re selling a pen at least RM100? LOL

If you’re a cake enthusiast, I suggest you all come here .

Vigor Kobo

It’s one of the recommendations for visitors of Taiwan.

Although it might be a bit costly for the cakes ( branded marh of course ), but I assure you, the quantity you paid matches it’s quality. =)

One last stop before going back to Paradise Hotel -

The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

Inside is a very huge and tall figure of the dude himself sitting there like Abraham Lincoln in the US

It’s a bit blurry though =P

And you can see puppy lovers bringing their ever cute doggies around for walks, joggers, completing their run with this as the final stop, couples sitting with the lad listening to the MP3, resting on the lady’s lap who’s reading a book, with the breezing, cold weather.

It really is an ideal place for everyone. I love that kind of scenery though. I just dunno why >.<

In Malaysia. . . . :Let’s just skip that shall we? =P

And it’s time to head back to our hotel.

Did I mentioned that our hotel is just one block away from Xi Men Ding?

Heck, yeah~

Now we don’t have to worry about getting bored in our rooms.

Chinese Culture University and Marching Soldiers

So it was the end of the performance during the last post.

Now, we’re all set to go tour around Taipei !

But before that, we still have one final thing to do before that.

That is, visiting the Chinese Culture University (CCU) in Taipei as a part of the cultural exchange programme.

It’s know internationally that CCU is the best of the best in Taiwan and is renowned for it’s superb quality in the chinese orchestra.

But before dropping us there, the guide had to bring us to a place any tourist must go.

Those who had went to Taiwan, recognise this place? =P

But seriously though, the main point is that they are famous for rotating soldiers every hour.

They could march uniformly when it’s their shift to work, and they could just stand there for one full 60 minutes without budging.

Be warned though.

DO NOT TOUCH THEM !

I heard this from another friend and they said that they have the authority to kill you on the spot should you touch them.

I guess touching them is a matter of life and death huh?

But feel free to take pictures with them in it, although they wouldn’t smile for you though.

They’re like the Royal Soldiers protecting the Queen of England.

It was a nice experience to see =)

Alright, now come to the next stop.

The CCU ! !

You must be thinking that their university is located somewhere in the middle of the city, facing the construction building or something.

WRONG !

But you can see whole of Taipei from the CCU though.

Yeap, their university is on the Yang Ming Mountain ( 陽明山 )

And the moment we were brought in, it sure doesn’t look like the universities that can be found in Malaysia, what more to say UTP.

This is just one small street that can be found in CCU. It’s just like Chee Chiong Kai in KL, only the weather is much much cooler, around 20 degrees plus.

In winter, the coldest they ever had was 3 degree Celcius. How about that?

But I like the place though.

It’s more to a free and easy lifestyle there, although you gotta admit there are lots tough internal competition between individuals in there.

So, we had to sit and listen to 2 hours of lecture talk on how to play a Pipa professionally.

The elderly is a grandmaster in that instrument.

To be there physically to listen to him play rather than behind the screens is a different feeling altogether.

Then comes the students from CCU to demonstrate their part in their respective chinese instruments.

She’s playing the Gu Zheng. A ghostly piece she’s playing I might say, but who am I to judge that anyway >.<

And here’s the best performance we’ve seen so far.

They performed a piece called “Tiger vs Bull” (rough translation la of course ) and they did what we never thought we can ever do with the percussions.

A must see, if I must say !

First Performance in Taiwan! !

After visiting Zhu Bei Elementary School and Ta Hwa University, it’s time for the real deal to come.

Our first grand performance ever in Taiwan.

We didn’t actually get to rehearsed much since the schedule was kinda packed for everyone and we had to have lunch with the Hsinchu County’s Mayor / Chief Minister / Governor .

We were invited to his Parliament House for a lunch session together with the ministers from Hsinchu County.

O.O||

It was a nice experience and all and it was followed by a short press conference thingy on the reason why we’re here.

We even made it to the news. Who knows one day, you flip open the newspaper in Taiwan and you’ll see me in it =P

Then it’s time to head back for practice and the show starts at 730pm !

Heck, of course we’re nervous.

Didn’t get to snap much pictures during the performance since our actions are limited.

Have to take care the image of UTP, moreover Malaysia!

I’m glad I’m able to play all through the pieces well.

Don’t ask me to perform for you all next time =.=||

My skills aren’t that great actually LOL

Somehow, it’s weird playing Malaysian Malay songs with Taiwanese people. They managed to grasp the content of the pieces when they played them.

Pros !

Then that marks the main aim for UTPCO going to Taiwan.

Now, it’s time for travelling and sight seeing =)))

Zhu Bei Elementary School & Ta Hwa University

So, before getting sidetracked to the travelling part, one of the purpose of us coming to Taiwan is having an exchange programme with the people in Taiwan right?

Somehow, I felt that it became something sort of a diplomatic session instead LOL

So, the next day, we performed in Zhu Bei Elementary School.

The school’s located at the Hsinchu District and mind you, the wind here ! Fuh !

It makes you feel like you’re at seaside at all times with the cold breeze blowing at you non-stop.

Yeah. that’s their school alright. It’s friggin’ huge~! !

So, the UTP Performing Arts Group ( UPAG ) performed theirs, we performed ours, the singers sang theirs.

And it’s time for their turn to show what their Chinese Orchestra is made of.

They could play songs that we played with difficulty at ease. If compared to the standards in Malaysia, those little kids can easily be on par with most of the skilled players here.

Have to wash that shoes sometime during this 4 months =.=

An even greater surprise to everyone was that the Hsinchu District / Chief Minister / Governor ( I dunno what is his equivalent position in Malaysia, some said something like Lim Guan Eng’s post ) dropped by because he could not hold in his enthusiastic spirit in meeting us.

Now how about that??

Well, the guy just loves to shake hand though. He’s friendly enough =)

After that, we’re finally checking out our first university in Taiwan.

TA HWA UNIVERSITY

Seriously speaking, their university doesn’t look anything like a university at all ( unlike ours =.= )

Their uni is more to a small, free and easy town ( not the kampung style kind of course )

So we had sort of a MOU signed when we’re here.

It’s an agreement that there would be something like a student exchange programme here between UTP and Ta Hwa in the near future.

I guessed it’ll be good news for those Taiwan enthusiast huh?

After the lengthy 1 or 2 hours or so of conference, we were brought around their campus.

The weather’s windy and a bit chilly even though it’s bright shiny out there.

That’s the weather around 4 pm there.

I liked this kind of weather though. It gives me motivation to go jogging or exercising.

So we were brought into their library.

And you see this section here?

They specially build a “manga section” at the top floor for those students ! !

IRC ! ! ! Where’s ours????

It’s also one of the most populated areas in the library too. Figures.

They too have areas such as movie lounge for students to watch movies for their leisure time.

Heck, they even have massage chairs with MP3’s equipped for you to release your stress.

Again, IRC ! ! ! Where’s ours??!!!

Next to the library we have some sort of a cyber cafe style of lounge for students to go online and chit chat.

They even have stores set up by students to run their business after getting their project approved by the school.

Cool right? It’s a win-win situation for all too !

They too have a course for students which is something called,

Glass Making ( I made it up myself LOL )

But these ornaments are really made up by the students themselves. It’s kinda cute right~???

And so, after that lovely evening, we had our rehearsals for our upcoming performance.

First Oversea Trip, First Dinner, First Hotel in Taiwan

Everything is a first for me when I get to travel to Taiwan last week.

And the best part yet

FREE TRAVELING FOR 7 DAYS

Who doesn’t want a free trip?

Moreover to Taiwan at that !

So we depart from UTP at 830 in the morning and stopover by a emergency rest stop when one of my friends had a kind of a “market stock plummeting” situation.

LOL

Other than that hiccup, we’re all set to go to Taiwan !

We went by China Airlines ( we initially thought that we would be going by AirAsiaX though LOL )

This broke Wendy Chong’s heart >o<

You know what I like about this airline?

It provide us with 6 KINDS of dishes in a small standard food packet instead of the usual nasi lemak you can find in Malaysian’s airlines.

What about that huh?

And also,

It’s

it is equipped with a standard LCD TV in front of your seat and you could enjoy movies and play games provided.

The great part was, the 4 hour journey was accompanied by new cinematic movies that can be found in Malaysia.

Heck, forget about sleeping. We enjoyed watching all those movies that we missed out when we were in the isolated jungle.

It was all smiles when we touchdown-ed in Taiwan at the evening.

And we’re in for some real treat all right.

Everyone’s face was like

“Where’s the fooooooooooood”

We had a whooping 10 different dishes (at least) till I lost count of some of it during our first dinner here.

No wonder Taiwanese people are so friendly and welcoming.

Oh and did I mentioned that we went to Hsinchu County for our performance?

The area there is mainly Hakka population and so the dishes above were mainly cooked Hakka style.

I’ll talk more about Hsinchu in my next post though =)

And so, we checked in into our hotel for the night, and it’ll be a short small performance in front of the elementary school students the following day.

Prelude of Taiwan Trip

Before I start posting up all sort of stuffs about Taiwan, there’s just a few things that amazed me about Taiwan.

One for example is their cleanliness.

You don’t see rubbish bins anywhere along the road on the roads of Taipei or I guess anywhere else in Taiwan.

Here’s the even cooler part.

You will not see a single litter on the streets. Not even dried or dead leaves.

Compared to Malaysia, ugh…….

Taiwanese driving on the slow lane’s on the right while we’re on the left.

So basically, what the Taiwanese basically do is that they will keep on the right while riding on just anything.

The escalator is a good example.Everyone will side on the right and leave the left empty for those who are in a hurry.

Well, that’s basically I could think of when writing this post right now.

Overall, the exchange culture trip there was really really fun!

It really is an eye opener for me.

Bear Bear and Little Dudu Goes To Taiwan

It’s finally Monday tomorrow.

Glad that the orchestra practices are going smoothly although there were minor hiccups along the way.

Anticipating the trip to Taiwan tomorrow!

Gonna have sort of a collaboration orchestra performance together with performers from Taiwan.

Mind you, we’re going to Taiwan’s top universities in the arts side.

We’re performing along side with what we call world class performers around the world.

I’m just glad that I’ve this once in a lifetime chance to perform alongside with them ( although I know none >.< )

A one week trip in Taiwan with performances and sight seeing. Lovin’ it!

The ongoing Finals in my uni almost made everyone forgot that today is the Mooncake Festival.

Looks like we engineers are very dedicated to our work!

If I have a chance anytime soon, I’ll love to go travelling around and see what it’s like people at other parts of the world celebrating this festival.

August has been a great month for me, that’s for sure.

Got promoted to be the vice-president of the Chinese Orchestra club. I must say I’m not the leader type guy since I’m the guy who’s more to the role of executing the job given perfectly. And this is a new experience for me. Hope that I could help out managing the club well =)

Coursework marks for some subjects was issued out not long ago and I’m quite contended with it. Proves that as long as you’re trying hard, you’ll get the end result equivalent to the amount you poured into.

That’s just August for me with some of the other little details which I think nobody would bother.

What to expect for September?

It’ll be another great month for me no doubt.

Gonna sit for my Finals in 1 week time, that’s for sure =.=||

Gonna head to Taiwan as part of the cultural exchange programme for UTP Chinese Orchestra mid September too.

The best part of September is:

I’M SO GONNA HEAD HOME AFTER ALMOST A YEAR ‘OVERSEAS’ IN THE PENINSULAR!

If the label says best before *some date* , yes, you may eat it.

If it’s passed the date specified, you may still eat it.

Grammatically speaking, you can!

If it’s before 25th August, it’s still edible.

If it’s 25th, just eat it. Because grammatically speaking, it’s better than before although not at it’s best.

If it’s 26th, eat it! Cause it’s only good. So, it’s still good right?

Are Men Better Drivers Than Women?

Are they?

Due to the recent really-OMG-how-fast-did-you-drive-accident in UTP that sparked a heated discussion among peers, this one question was raised .

Are men better drivers than women???

Both victim’s car and the person who rammed into it was badly damaged. As in . . . very bad O.O||

Cars were only able to go up to 50km/h max before they hit the bump there but the accident was like that of the highway. And the driver who rammed them was a female.

But luckily there were no casualties there. And it happened to the people I knew!! *&^@#%^!!!

So back to the main topic, does men regard themselves as the better driver than women?

Stats shows that men do risk more when driving but at the same time, most guys have a better perception than women in driving.

China Earthquake Manga Strips

Just something to share with all readers what touching stuffs happened during the China earthquake back at December 2008.

CHINA EARTHQUAKE STRIPS

Hello. This is Coco Wang.

As you know the breaking news of 5.12 Earthquake in China, almost all the TV channels in China are broadcasting 24 hours non-stop of every development and stories of all the rescue operations in all damaged locations.

I don't know how much information the BBC or any UK media received from us, I imagine the UK audiences were presented with the major developments of the incident, but you are probably unaware of many important and inside details which are only known to people inside China.

The amount of incredibly moving stories of victims, rescuers, and volunteers is simply shocking at the moment. I have been collecting newspapers of all the stories, and telling them in the form of comic strips. I hope these stories could show the UK readers the love, warmth and courage of the Chinese people, also the sad and cruel reality of the horrible 5.12 Earthquake.

I am back home in Beijing now. Thousands of heart-breaking stories are happening 24 hours non-stop everyday, some are so sad that you can hardly bear, some are incredibly moving that you just can't stop crying... I wanted to go to the front to help with all those people, some of my friends have already gone there, but I heard that the traffic needed to be kept totally clear for rescue transportation at the moment, people like me without knowledge of first-aid and experience of rescue operations going there now would cause choas and trouble... but I can't just sit at home and do nothing, I have been crying my eyes out in the past three days, I have never felt more proud of my country and people... their love, courage and kindness rock me to my core! I have decided to tell these touching stories by drawing comics. I am going to! send you comic strips almost everyday from now on, I hope you could know something about the earthquake in China, although you don't have to do anything, but I hope you could feel our love and hope.

When it comes to badminton, I’m just as crazy as those supporters of Manchester United and Chelsea or Barcelona.

I’ll put aside everything and watched the championship events without regrets.

Lately, since there’s a “limited source” of television in my university, most of the time, I would actually skip those mediocre badminton opens.

But this time around, it’s the Badminton World Championships! ! That’s equivalent to the football’s World Cup or something.

I watched the match live two days ago on the television ( luckily I was there early LOL ) between LCW and Kevin.

Frankly speaking, I thought that the latter did a pretty good job getting straight 3 points in the opening match, giving me goosebumps. But I guess LCW saw through his “tank-all-the-way” technique.

But for me, the guy’s a definitely a one to watch out for in the future =)

And Koo-Tan were knocked out in the quarters. I seriously dunno what happened to them but I think they started to lose confidence in each other and the shots KKK retrieved were either just above the net for the opponent to smash it down or it’ll just be an unforced error by himself.

Anyway, congratulations to the world number one player from Malaysia~~

It’s been his first time to enter into the Finals after his exit in the World Meet in 2005 at the semi’s up until now where he’s being constantly knocked out in the early rounds. LOL

It’s gonna be a tight match tonight between Lin Dan and LCW.

And I friggin wanna watch them so badly.

But I can’t.

Having Chinese Orchestra practices tonight. Or unless they put men’s singles in the first opening match or a tele in thr orchestra room >O<

Missing Kuching Kolo Mee and Cha Kueh!

I can’t believe it.

I’m friggin’ missing the local food in Kuching right now early in the morning today!

Kuchingnites away from Kuching for studies, work, etc. no doubt will miss those delicacies especially the Kolo Mee and Cha Kueh!

It’s been almost a year since I’ve eaten a warm Kolo Mee since coming to Universiti Teknologi Petronas to further my studies as an undergraduate.

Normally, I would have eaten at least one or two times Kolo Mee a week back at home but now, in order to save money, I’m eating white bread EVERYDAY.

Friends from Penang also approved of this mee as one-of-the-best-thing they have ever tasted too!

10 Blogging Lessons From . . DALAI LAMA??!! O.O

Ran across an article on what the Dalai Lama teaches blogger to write in their blogs.

I just basically copy and paste the main thing people wanna see.

1. Have a sense of humor

The prayer flags on stage hung a bit low and the Dalai Lama peeped out from behind them, instantly making the audience laugh. Then he worried that the Aboriginal dancers, clad only in a small red cloth, might be feeling the cold.

There’s already enough dry, tutorial style information around. People learn more and want to come back to a blog that’s fun to read and bloggers should make the most of that.

2. Be humble

There was a comfy sofa sitting centre stage for the Dalai Lama to recline on while he spoke. He’s an old man but he said we wouldn’t be able to see him there so he chose to stand at the front of the stage under the hot sun where we could see him better.

Blogging is all about relationships, interacting with your readers and being present for them on your blog and on their favourite social media outposts

3. Be human

The Dalai Lama wasn’t sure of the protocol. He didn’t know if he was to speak first or if someone was going to introduce him. He’s just a normal human being like us trying his best.

We all make mistakes—typos slip into blog posts or links are forgotten. Just acknowledge them, fix what you can, and do your best.

4. Smile

Be happy and show that happiness. More people will want to hang out with you. It definitely works for the Dalai Lama who spreads happiness wherever he goes.

Do you like hanging out with and working with happy people? Then make sure your blog and gravatar photos makes you look friendly and open.

Don’t use photos where you look cool or sexy … you may come across as bored or grumpy instead. Unless you’re really cool and sexy, of course.

5. Be you

You can shave your head like the Dalai Lama, wear thick glasses, and sport deep wrinkles on your face and arms. It doesn’t really matter. As long as you are you, people will only notice the good things—your smile, your twinkling eyes, and your dimples.

There’s a lot of talk about authenticity in blogging and social media and being you makes your blog stand out better than anything else.

6. Speak from your heart

The Dalai Lama didn’t need to read his speech from notes. His message is there in his heart and in his soul. We know he really believes it.

Bloggers need to really believe their message and be passionate about it. Practically you need to blog about what you love because you’ll be blogging about it long-term. Passion will shine through on your blog and in your writing, videos or podcasts.

7. Take time

The Dalai Lama didn’t feel the need to rush his words. Sometimes he had to reflect and think a bit about what he wanted to say.

Don’t rush your blogging or try to keep up with other bloggers. I only post once a week own blogs (I have two) because I have other writing to do and I like to spend time making sure all my posts are as good as they can be.

Blogging is a long-term investment so you need to be patient to see the results.

8. Get help

The Dalai Lama had a friend to hand who whispered in his ear when the right word didn’t spring to mind.

Bloggers need to get help with the bits they find hard. For some it might be blog design, others need help with content creation, others with Facebook.

Accept that you can’t do everything, do the bits you love and the fun bits as best you can and seek help for other things.

9. Have a strong and universal message

Thousands of people flock to hear the Dalai Lama speak because his message of peace and love is crystal-clear.

Bloggers will have to work out what their message is before they can share it fully with their readers.

10. Use stories and anecdotes people can relate to

The Dalai Lama used relevant stories mentioning local Queenslanders who showed co-operation, friendship, and trust by helping each other out voluntarily during the floods.

Bloggers need to capture their readers’ imagination and give people concrete examples they can relate to. Story-telling is the best way to get your readers reading and keep them hooked until the end.

A Project . . Which I Do Not Understand

Finally ! ! ( actually it’s quite a long time ago LOL )

A project this semester~~ ! ! !

But it’s for Malaysian Studies anyway T.T

For those who had taken this subject, I understand fully well why did you all struggled and rambled on and on and on about it.

It’s actually kinda a pain in the ass =_________________=

It was suppose to be the same thing as what we had read during our high school with just a tad bit of details added on, but reading and studying it fully on English is another matter.

I never thought that I would ever say this but, it’s actually kinda hard to memorize the laws and what-not in English compared to Malay language.

I seriously do not know why we still have to touch on this subject when the people around us are still acting like a bunch of monkeys throwing shoes and insults at one another.

What’s the point of forcing something you have completely no interest in ( it’s not hate, it’s just neutral ) somebody? Leave it to someone who has interest on.

Do you follow and do what the textbook wanted you do upon completing the subject? I don’t think most people do right?

In my opinion, this kind of thing should be experienced personally instead of reading it off the book.

The main purpose of Malaysian Studies is basically just to unite the people from all walks of life in Malaysia.

I don’t see any problems for UTPians in regard to this matter though. We walked and laugh our way to class together and I just don’t see what’s the problem with the people from the rest of the country.

Not like blogging this will actually make a big impact to the country tomorrow though. LOL

Back to the topic, I got Orang Asli centric on the formation of Malaysia history.

HELP!!!!

I just dunno what to write the implications on the topic I got.

Korean Dramas

Since when did I start loving Korean dramas so badly that I gave up Jdrama?

I guess all I remembered was that my first drama was IRIS and true, it really gave me a whole new perception about Korean dramas ever seen.

I have watched Secret Garden as well as Athena: Goddess of War.

Am currently going to finish Midas soon.

Any suggestions on what movie to watch next?

Getting Better. . .

Imagine how you would feel if your parents have to go back and forth from Penang to Ipoh everyday just to check on your sick child everyday in a hospital?

Don’t worry uncle and aunty, we visited him everyday. And he’s condition is improving very fast too.

Sometimes whenever I look back at what my dear friend said to me before he was sent to hospital, I would feel ‘pekcek’ at it.

Before this, his body was as hot as boiling water and he could hardly walk around.

And he went to UTP’s clinic twice. And twice did the doctor said that he did not have a high fever based on the thermometer’s reading.

And twice did those doctors not touch his forehead to double check on it.

C’mon la dudes. You’re a doctor for crying out loud!!

Even a normal person without any medicinal background would check it out by placing their hands on the forehead when a person complains that he felt like he’s having a HIGH FEVER.

=.=||

And making judgements purely based on equipment is just soooo unprofessional.

Once I had diarrhea in UTP just before the Chinese New Year and all the doctor did was press my abdomen for a few while and that’s it. Medicines, medicines and medicines.

It’s not like their medicines are effective too.

And that’s why most people I know won’t go to UTP’s clinic whenever they are sick.

Now I know why.

Nevermind… Fall And Get Up Again

My first badminton open at Shah Alam finally concluded yesterday and now it’s time to solely focus on my academics.

Have a bit of catching up to do and luckily this week’s classes aren’t that hectic compared to as usual.

I really get disappointed at myself for getting myself knocked out in the first round of the knock out stage when I should have sealed of the match when we were trailing 39 – 35 with that free tap.

Looks like once again I’m blinded by myself with the desire to end the game quickly just in one way instead of taking my time to digest myself with strategy to win the opponent.

I hate it when my mind just go blank on court, and I started firing those shots non-stop while my opponent is taking it easily during a competition and it doesn’t even happen at all when we were practising!

Proves that I still have a long way to go in winning my matches mentally instead of using sheer brute force all the way.

Gonna take this as a lesson into life too.

Always take a step back from the situation and have a grasp at the full view of the picture.

Take your time to strategise.

Point out the weaknesses.

Knock all of them down in one blow.

Winning the game mentally is much more effective than using physical means.

Lesson learnt.

Universiti Teknologi PETROLEUM!!!??

The first thing that came into my mind was

What The Fish!!!

Yes, it’s true people. I think our beloved university name is changing from Universiti Teknologi Petronas to University Teknologi Petroleum.

What kind of stupid name is that?

I know that the chinese name for our university is 国油大学.

国油 means “national oil” or “national petrol” while 大学 means “university” (direct translation LOL)

Heck, even Google Translate translated the words 国油大学 into Petronas University.

So why not just retain the name instead of changing the word Petronas into Petroleum.

What kind of effing stupid name is that??!! (pardon me >O< )

Couldn’t those people come out with better names like Universiti Teknologi PekChek or Universiti Teknologi Pro-ness??? LOL

But seriously though, of all the P words out there, they just have to choose “Petroleum”

It . . . sounds . . . . UGLY!!

The student council and students of the university had voiced out their concern about this matter and I seriously hope that the university will take account of our pride as well.

Frankly, I think the reason why people come to study in this university is because of the word “Petronas”. If it weren’t for that, I bet you my head the intakes for next year will be close to 10% of what they usually take into, that is if they plan to change it this year.

Super seniors are getting group snapshots on the mighty Petronas wordings just outside the university entrance before they are carved open and replaced by the word “petroleum”.

When’s our turn guys? >.<

The End of Harry Potter . . . Or Is It?

Just concluded the last episode of Harry Potter movie in my life yesterday.

Of course not here laah~

How was the movie, you ask?

Simply put – fantastic.

It’s like a once-in-a-20-years-epic-movie kinda thing for me.

Looks like I have to wait for another 20 years for another epic movie to come T.T

It didn’t quite bring out the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort though in the end. I guess it’s kinda due to the fact that the movie’s been splitted into 2 parts and the 2nd part just started where it left off straight away, making the intensity to faded out a little.

However, it cannot be denied that my favourite series of all time had finally come to an end.

Those closed to me surely know how much Harry Potter mattered to me.

Yes people. I’m trying to suppress my sadness over this.

People worldwide cried over the last episode of HP.

It’s time to bid farewell to those who put efforts in this movie, who had contributed greatly into people’s lives around the world.

It’s time . . . . . . to grow up, and live on with our lives ( freaking dramatic here LOL )

Hear what’s playing on the background?

Yup, you guessed it right.

It’s the one and only, HARRY POTTER MOVIE THEME!!!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is premiering in less than a week time and I bet you my head that more than half of the population of the world are all set to watch the epic finale of this wonderful series by J.K. Rowling.

Heck, even Time’s Magazine also had their own version of the top 10 coolest spells in this fantasy movie.

I’ve read all the novels written by Rowling since I was a child, all thanks to my cousin Phil who exposed it to me initially.

My dad even bought me one of the newest series at one particular year on E-Bay ( I didn’t know he knew how to order stuffs online LOL ) and it was a surprise birthday gift to me too. Somemore it’s the thickest one yet, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

It came all the way from England. =D

I’ve grown up with them. I’ve live my life with their movies in my life.

And after 10 years, this wonderful movie series will be coming to an epic ending.

It’s kinda sad actually, It feels like a part of something important in my life is finally coming to an end and bidding us farewell for good.

One Fweaking Awesome Transformer

Because I was talking about this kind of Transformer :

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

I Googled the word ‘transformer’ and guess what, the Autobots show more hits than the electrical transformer we used in daily life .

Watched it today ( about a week late of it’s premiere ) and I must say, it’s friggin’ awesome.

I kinda have a back pain after the show after realizing that I had sat so still throughout the 2.5 hours of movie because of it’s epicness LOL

I even have to hold back my pee for that long so that I won’t even miss a frame

>.<

It lived up to my standard in the fighting part and although the initial storyline could be a little long-winded, it still has some funny elements inside it too.

Too bad Megan Fox isn’t in this movie although I gotta admit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was hot too. ^^”

And I’m kinda picky in movies too.

Everything was superb and the actions was intense and packed.

Michael Bay must have a hard time directing those epic moments when the robots clashed one another.

Seriously for those who have not watched it, I recommend it. Although some people might say it’s a bit too long, but I think this is because this is the finale of the Transformers series.

It’s kinda sad actually =(

Looking forward towards Harry Potter 7.2 now.

From the all the novels I read on the Harry Potter series, I’m gotta say I’m a hardcore fan of it.

The way the movie portray the finale of HP is really different from what I have in mind during the times I read from the novel.

And by that, I mean that the movie portrays an even more epic visuals.

I felt like I didn’t update my blog for so long.

It’s not like I’m busy or anything lately though.

Was anticipating Heartstrings KDrama…

and am now waiting for the subs :3

Life lately has been . . . . . . unclear.

I don’t get what the lecturer’s trying to point out some of the time and have to dig the truth the hardway.

And great. . . . the South Asia Pacific Sports Carnival just got postponed. And if they don’t make it back on the original date, I don’t think I’ll competing this year.

I have to go home what.

But on the other hand, another tournament in Shah Alam is being held at the same date which was suppose to be the Sports Carnival.

Contemplating whether I should register with my partner or not first but the postponement might still be negotiable.

And do you guys have a feeling that time passes very fast lately? I think the magnetic field of the Earth is disrupted from all the earthquakes and tsunami LOL

One of my best friend is gonna leave for UK to further his Med course soon.

Man, I’m gonna miss that friggin tall guy and his hilarious ‘yellow’ jokes eh.

It’s actually a-hard-to-get kinda thing.

Sure, this things can be nurtured but sometimes when the educator is somewhat “much much more professional”, how can you expect us to produce such results?

Taking lab sessions for example, we were just told to do according to the lab manual, and the demonstrator did little to explain the necessity and the objectivity of such experiment.

You don’t ask us to read the objective of the experiment just off from the manual. Explain what it’s used for in real life.

If not, how are we suppose to put all this in practical use if we do not what the equipment is used for?

Putting that aside, I think I’m quite well rounded (alehhhh… LOL)

I play sports, I play music, I study.

You don’t see much sports person playing in music.

You don’t see much music people playing hardcore sports.

And you don’t definitely see nerds going hardcore on the other two too!

See~ I’m pretty much well rounded in my own way >.<

Just that my circle is still kinda small LOL

2nd Year Chemical Engineering Field Trip! ! !

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is the first time Chemical Engineering ever had a field trip outside of UTP in 4 or 5 semesters under the the charge of lecturer right?

I don’t think seniors ever mentioned that there are lecturers bringing them out for a field trip though >.<

So, we arrived at the quite-small chemical industry of Malay-Sino company and was given a short briefing about safety hazards.

It’s nice to attend their talks, as it seems fun most of the time ^ ^

We were briefed on safety by Mr Singh (I think o.O||)

And was later briefed about the processes undergo by this plant by Mr Phang.

That’s the future you KZ.

So, skipping the long talk about processes, it’s time for the plant tour!! Whee~~

We were brought around by the Production Manager whom I didn’t get his name. But he’s friendly enough. =)

We weren’t suppose to bring any camera around, so I decided to keep it in my backpack and left it in the briefing room.

But my phone was with me and it has a 8.1MP, so I just had to took it out and snap a few pictures around >.<

We saw shell and tube heat exhangers, BIG ones, unlike the ones in our labs.

It’s nice to see things up close and those equipments are just soooooo big.

Too bad I can’t take the picture of the electrolyzer since most of the heavy equipments are centered inside the plant and chemicals there are easily flammable. T.T

I think the electrolyzer is as big as my room O.O||

So after the tour, we were given short talks again on what we saw by our tour guide LOL

And he said that the mentality of engineers this generation is like a child compared to the previous generations ( his generation. I assume )

But what he said was true. We tend to sit behind computers inside an air conditioned room instead of working out under the sun, hands on with the equipments.

So, I guess it’s time for us to change our mindset huh?

It’s time to grow up! >.<

We had brunch after that.

Next to the cafeteria was a badminton court. It almost made me drop my plate to the floor, grab a broom and something shuttle-like and play on court LOL

Imagine people enjoy eating in the cafe and next to it, Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei are playing inside. It’s like watching them play and at the same time sitting in the 1st class seats. XD

Usual thing.

Father’s Day + Ipoh StarWalk 2011

So how do I celebrate my Father’s Day?

Instead of sitting in an expensive restaurant celebrating that occasion, looks like this year again, I’ll be spending my time away from both my parents unlike others who’ll be enjoying wonderful moments with them.

This year, I’d loved to make it even a step level higher.

I determined to finish the 10km walk for my dad no matter what.

And I’m glad to say, I finished it in under 100 minutes~~!!

So, we depart from UTP at 530am in the morning. Arrived there via help from GPS around 615am and we had trouble finding car parks already!

I saw this when I first used a portable bathroom in my life LOL

And so, skipping registration part and everything, the competition starts with when the Minister of Perak (again LOL ) officially clicked his gun.

Thousands around Ipoh and who knows where else, joined this big event. I heard from one of the locals saying that the number of participants who attended this year were close to 10,000.

Dunno whether the statistics are true or not LOL

Seriously, this walk made me opened my eyes about life even more.

Wanna buy 4D for this number or not Dad? LOL

You could occasionally see people from sidewalks joining in the race. Or uncles having their usual morning jog tagging along with us as well.

Father’s who would love to enjoy their special day, strolling with the youngsters while bringing his newborn around.

Awww~~ I will definitely do so like that guy above next time when I have a child of my own.

He looks cool~~~

People from all walks of life joining as well, no matter how young they are.

I’ve seen a few 12 year old boys walking even faster than me throughout the race. Really salute to them even though their body just looked so . . . small LOL

And then there’s this one kid, who look awfully lot like someone I know.

Any idea who UTPians? >.<

So, as mentioned, we finished the race in 100 minutes and we won lucky draw slots although we didn’t stayed till the end for it. Oh well~~

It’s a definite must for me to join again next year. You could look forward to that alright~ >.<

Euphonious 2011

Those who missed this year’s Euphonious 2011, you really missed out a great concert.

Eupho was founded 6 years ago, and till now, it’s like a tradition in UTP to be held annually and every year, it’ll be a full house.

The student bands were amazing last night, unlike last year. All the top finalists were equally good that it made everyone hard to vote.

And the winner get’s away with a RM1000 + trophy + a production record with a record company too! !

The show was fantastic throughout the night.

The 2 ladies in front of me keep on camwhoring whole night with their camera. Always got me in their photos LOL

And the spotlight keeps on shining towards our direction.

“AARGGGHHH. MY EYES MY EYES!!!”

is what I heard all night from the guys behind me >.<

The night ended with Voodoo Child singing out their songs in their own way, capturing the audiences attention and finally, won the 1st place.

And guess who’s the MC for of the biggest event of the year?

It’s my ex-neighbour again, MAKKI!!! ( You two looked like news reporter from CNN channel last night LOL )

It’s raining now. (yes. . . that’s so random >.<)

And I’ve just finished my quiz.

Epic fail in differentiating. It was like . . . millions of years ago since I differentiated something like that.

Gonna have to revise on that :)

Starting to get used to 2nd Year’s life – late sleep, early wake style for most days of the week. But used to it already though ^ ^

Now at week 4 and it’s gonna end soon. Time sure flies fast huh?

Starting to love Computational Methods course although the calculations are a bit repetitive.

Can’t believe how geniuses could invent formulas to solve life’s problems.

Went for Martial Art Night 2011 to see Tze Yi and Joey in action.

I just can’t get enough of Kungfu Panda aka Tze Yi that night.

First of all, it’s not “sex”

Looks I’m taking Modern Music II this semester again. The last time I blow a saxophone, it was 1 year plus ago during my Foundation Studies. Ahhh…. Young times >.<

This semester, I’m meeting my baby back.

Even though I’m taking tanner saxophone instead of alto, I still quite enjoyed it although it’s a bit . . . bulky.

As usual, the saliva will keep on accumulating at the mouthpiece, etc etc.

Hope that the stuffs that we will be blowing will be something even better than Mary Had A Little Lamb LOL

Although I opt for violin, but the instructor insist us on taking back our previous instrument since it would be even freaking harder.

Oh well, when it comes to music, I always enjoyed playing it no matter what instruments it is.

It’s not that I don’t have anything to do now, it’s just that it’s high tea time and time to give myself to relax.

My hair’s growing longer and it’s not long long. It’s kinda like bushy long LOL

Not to mention mine have a little curly traits too T.T

Was thinking of cutting it short or maybe even shorter and styled it like this or . . .

Eh . . . Wait. Dunno the hairdresser in Tronoh knows how to cut such advance haircuts or not.

The last time I cut there was a 60 – 70 years old aunty cutting it. @.@

Changing to another topic.

Looks like I have lots of things to lead on from now on. Tze Yi would probably shoot me for saying that I still have ample time for other things.

Sorry la bro. I’m not as pro as you in studies and can’t stand to stay awake till 3 am everyday.

Kinda have to really sort out my plans and schedules and divide my time up pretty well.

I have a new group of young juniors for erhu to bring up this semester as well as maintaining the performance of the seniors.

I have a new post in IChemE and have to start attending meetings with HiComs and all more regularly.

I have badminton training 3 nights every week that I’ll ended up as a dead log everytime I hit the bed.

I have more and more harder subjects this semester compared to the previous one.

Everything’s about management.

No doubt, this is FUN =)

What I Will Do From Now On

So, Wednesday's Royal Concert had just passed and it’s now the weekends~ Whee~~~

There’ll be stricter and more frequent badminton trainings for me from now on now that the selections for a position in representing UTP to compete against other universities around Malaysia is just around the corner. Oh great~~ >.<

Labs started this week and I think I’m gonna enjoy this semester’s labs.

Now this is what I call an experiment instead of sitting on a chair everytime when conducting an experiment. Haha.

Looks like I’ll have to climb up the stairs up and down to see whether the columns are producing the things we needed soon for the next many years or so? >.<

I also got picked to be Assistant Head Of Department (AHOD) for Publication and Promotion Department (PnP) for IChemE club. I once resigned from that department and now I got elected back as an AHOD. Haha

Looks like I’m in the board of directors now huh?

It’s kinda fun since MOST of our coursemates were the High Committees (HiComs) for the club. LOL

At least I’m in charge in blogging and promotion on sites such as Facebook and all.

Looks like I’m gonna have another blog to write then. Can I add ads inside for me to gain extra income Miss President? >.<

How To Celebrate Your June

What a better way to welcome the month of June than meeting the Sultan of Perak face to face?

The Sultan came to UTP and a Royal Concert was help to commemorate His Highness’ 83 years birthday.

My schedule was packed 4 or 5 days before the real thing starts so that everything was tip top perfect.

Although we only performed for 2 songs for that one night, quite frankly, I enjoyed other performances too.

It was too hard rock like some other bands, but instead the artists sang His Highness’ favourite songs when he was still young.

Concert was quite short but all in all, we did enjoyed cam-whoring before and after the event though >.<

83-years-old and still look handsome and fit.

Frankly speaking, for a 83-years-old person, His Highness’ looked healthy and fit. Hope I could be like him when I hit that age LOL

One of my friend shook hands with him and told me that his skin was ultra super duper smooth! O.O|| My friend’s a girl and she got depressed LOL

Notice the car plate. Wonder if it’s made of gold or not ho?

I loved his car alright. The driver when inside and start the ignition, all I heard was “Zzzmm. . .” . . . . . . . and then nothing?

What the?!! I thought he failed to start the car at first!!! Then I realized it was otherwise~~!! OMG!! I love his car laaarrrr~~

Aarrghh!! How to buy 4D when all the Royal family car plates are either made of gold or words??!! T.T

I didn’t shake hands with the Sultan though. Everybody was rushing there like Jusco was having 90% discount Mega Sales and I was carrying an erhu with me.

His bodyguards might think that I was carrying a sniper inside LOL

But I did shake hands with the Menteri Besar of Perak though. We spoke briefly awhile before he left. I think the last time I shook hands with him was last year when he was invited to come for Red Sonata Fiesta.

Oh well, done with Royal Concert. Have to perform well in studies starting from now~ 2nd year already what~ Time to punch the "Study Mode” button. Sigh~~

Finally!!! Someone to go down with to Ipoh.

The first week of lectures is boring. So we decided to ditch lazy Saturday and went down to relax ourselves before the real thing begins next week LOL

So. . . Dim Sum for breakfast as usual at Foh San

Grand place eh after the renovating?

We always had our breakfast here whenever we come down to Ipoh =)

And the dim sum dishes available are. . . . . . .

Siu Mai!!! (Siow Bee for Kuching-nites LOL )

The egg tarts are a must!! It tastes damn damn good!

and lots lots lots LOTS MORE!!!

After that, we went to Jusco, bought clothes and “la la la” stuffs and went to watch Kungfu Panda 2.

It was seriously funny although the movie’s a bit … ummm.. short ^ ^”

After that went on to eat good food at local hawker stalls nearby there which was recommended by Ming Heng.

Although a bit packed, but the atmosphere’s like the ones in KL where you can see one straight row of hawker stalls at your fingertips.

I think the dinner we had last night was for 15 people instead of 9. But in the end, the plates were also slicking clean. Hahaha

For me I ordered Claypot Chicken Rice along with some other stuffs from other people too.

It was ok-ok delicious for me.

But the attractive part was it’s only RM5 for small pot but it requires 2 person to finish it if you are not a heavy eater. So worth it ^ ^

After the crazy feast, we went back to UTP, take a shower, and went for Chinese Orchestra rehearsals.

It was tired but fun >.<

It’s another start of a new week. Hopefully I won’t get Monday blues today. Haha

Both My Year Has A 2 In It!

It’s been 3 days since the start of my 2nd Year and up until now, it still feels more like a holiday rather than having packed lectures throughout the day >.<

So let’s see what I did on Monday:

Went for Process Heat Transfer (PHT) class, the lecturer came from India, tried to switch on the PC but failed, and the next thing we knew, he asked us to introduce ourselves one by one =.=|| He let us go after that. What the. . . I shouldn’t have woken up for that class LOL

Suppose to have Separation Process I class but the lecturer “put us aeroplane” on the 2 hours class.

Went for Intro To Management lecture which I didn’t sign up for, but just to “look see look see” LOL

For Tuesday:

Lecturer “put aeroplane” again on the 2 hours class at 8am in the morning =.=||

Went for Professional Communications Skills lecturer and I love my lecturer. She’s awesome in joking LOL But she doesn’t wanna teach us that day. Bummer. . .

Next was Computational Method (CM) lecturer. Lecturer came from India again and had a introductory class on the course and a brief lecture. At least it wasn’t boring for the whole day again right? >.<

Today:

Sepro I lecturer finally came! Guess what? It’s our previous semester’s lecturer, who came from India, again! >.<

Had introductory lecture at the beginning and a brief lecture as usual and went for CM class. At least there’s a lecture today >.<

Then PHT lecturer “put aeroplane” on us this time LOL

So, class ended at 10 and I don’t think I’ll have any lectures tomorrow until Friday . What a nice kick start for the start of the semester! WOOHOO!!

Other than academics, Royal Concert Will be held next week.

Sultan of Perak will be watching us perform in Chinese Orchestra. I just hope that he won’t postpone it again for crying out loud.

This concert was supposed to be held last year and it was postponed TWICE! We’re busy too ok? >.<

And guess what?

I got my “report card” for Ipoh Starwalk. Yay~~~

Gonna go have a long walk at Ipoh during mid-June. Thumbs up~!!

Guess what? I’m turning 20 this year. And I’m in 2nd year.

Looks like I have a double 2 this year huh? LOL

After a moving for 5 hours straight for around 5 persons stuffs from one end to another (exaggerating) and up to the 5th floor, I finally declared. . .

I HAVE FINISHED MOVING !!!!

Love my new room. Got a corner room, not hot, windy and it’s lovely.

Looked more like an office instead of a room huh? Hahaha.

There’s even tea and coffee and milo at the side if you wanted to have a drink >.<

Done for the day, my legs are cramped and muscle pain at the arms.

Gonna have a short meeting tonight ( have to walk for 1km T.T )

Tomorrow’s Apocalypse Day?

This is a DISASTER!!!

We’re moving to a new hostel location tomorrow! THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN OR ELSE I WILL HAVE A HARD TIME CLEANING THE MESS UP :O

Since it’s a global, worldwide news, does this mean we have a new holiday now, cause we’re like celebrating, Apocalypse Day like it’s Christmas or Chinese New Year right?

Starting to wonder how people are starting to freak out when the news was announced.

If Zombie Attack V1, What Would You Do?

It’s the 3rd day I’m officially staying alone at my own block (Elden – my own block LOL ) from morning to the next and it doesn’t really freak me out much though.

The corridors were empty except mama kitten and papa kitten and most of the time kitty who would run into my storeroom and play hide and seek with me LOL

But it doesn’t help when the lights around the village is not switch on and it’s pitch black, thunderstorm’s coming, big gust of wind blowing and suddenly, who knows, you might. . .

The situation fits Left For Dead series pretty well though >.<

Imagine a group of zombies below your block, at the futsal field, swarming towards your block, towards your 1st floor room. It’s pretty cool-ish right? LOL

Putting that aside, I think I finally found out why I can do to pass time besides Heroes and Crysis 2 of course.

It’s a 10 day break and I’m not going home.

I’m not going around Malaysia travelling. Must be one heck of a boring holiday huh?

Without friends being around, I don’t feel like doing anything except laze around whole day and waiting to rot or something.

Can’t wait for the new semester to start though. Lots of activities to look forward too :D

And at the same time, Crysis 2 is out and am playing it now. Halfway through. Yay me~

The End of Year 1

Exam had just finished!! ( it’s 2 days ago actually LOL )

I think blogger went down couple of days back, so I didn’t take the initiative to update my blog. Since I have 10 days of free time, now I can just laze around and do anything I want~

Whee~~

Exam was . . . so – so. I loved exams actually. It kinda gives me a feel of challenge in life. LOL

Anti-exam people, blame me for being such an optimism guy.

So, now that I have a 10 day holidays and I’m not going back to Kuching, what can I do? o.O

I might actually wake up one morning, brushed my teeth, take a bath, look at my pathetic boring holiday life, packed my bags, and hike on a bus to Penang or wherever I feel going alone LOL Fun life huh? >.<

A few days back during and before the exam starts, I would like to “praise” UTP management for chopping down all the trees when we were just about to have our lovely time studying in peace.

But no, they had just have to cut down those freaking trees instead of trimming them. ==|| I mean, it’s because of the overgrown leaves that makes trees breaks and fall to the grown when gust of wind blew right? But still they have to chop down the whole thing to the ground. ==||

It used to be shady and cooling~

But now . . .

The cons of staying back during holidays – people hitch your room to put their things when they are lazy to move their stuffs back home.

Just clarifying, if either of your belongings are missing or whatsoever, I’m not gonna be responsible on it ya people? >.<

. . . my good friend here will be nodding his head away, telling me that I could get through it.

His way of nodding his head somehow encouraged me to take things back a step, view everything in general, then take things up a notch and try to solve the unsolvable.

Has been a great pal of mine and he never fails to nod his head ever since I bought him using my first hard earned working salary.

Glad that I brought him to UTP.

Moral Studies – Mission Accomplished

Just a super wicked short blog post for now.

Just finished my first paper of the exam season.

I can’t describe how happy my feelings are right now.

Moral Studies is officially out of my life WOOT!!!

And in case you’re wondering why we hate it so much, it’s because it’s not moral. It’s more to psychology ==||

And in one of the question, it asked this.

How the heck should I reply to a question with 1 word answer with 4 marks?!!!

But I answered it with a word anyway LOL

May 1st – Labour Day

We’re almost half way through to the half of the year.

It’s finally the first day of May.

Which means it’s Labour Day~~!! Off days for all workers today LOL

But not for us T.T

Labour Day isn’t just Labour Day when you have 4 more days to Finals and the kopitiams outside uni were closed and we have to suffer with the food inside the uni.

LOL

Had a great night last night going for UTPCO gathering at Henry’s house as well as celebrating him leaving for Texas to complete his Master’s.

He had a super cute dog ( cute for me though ) called Rambo and it reminds me of my previous dog, Bobby ( dunno why we gave him a lame name though LOL )

Hopefully, it’ll rain and rain and rain in the mornings tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow like some previous days~

Rain gives me more feel and mood to stud. Yes, I know, I’m a weird guy. People are suppose to sleep during those times right? >.<

Just finished my 4 test in 3 days. I don’t even remember how I got through that hellish life.

I won’t aim high for the marks in test but above average is already very good enough for me. Praying hard to be able to do so :3

Finals is just one friggin’ week away!!

I guess I will study relaxingly during the 5 days of study week~~ Whee~~

Another whole free day just to kill my brain off with friggin hard questions from past years :3

Had attended ChildPro 2011 Concert Night last night.

It’s been awhile since I’ve become the audience of a concert night. Normally I would be the one performing on the stage in front of 1000 audiences with my erhu. LOL ~~

Had a great time seeing small chubby super cute children performing last night!

She can kill you off with an instant kick to your head anytime. This is a fact from her taekwando skills o.O

But too bad you’re having your lovey dovey time with WL. Oh well~~ ^ ^

The Concert Night was something to be credited for but the last performance by the band was. . . uhmmm…. torturing.

But hey, the committees did a great job in putting this whole event a success right?

I love the new concept of putting more stalls and “pasar malam” thingy and lots of other varieties to this boring, isolated university >.<

And they also did a good time forcing other people to buy their stuffs

First Loss? No Sweat~

Yesterday was my first time playing in a first badminton open match at a small town called Parit.

Most of the participants were uncles but never ever understimate them.

The last time I played against one was during my IChemE South East Asia Sports Carnival and we barely survive the shots they returned us and we ended up 2nd runner up while they “sapu” all the top 2 placings.

This time was no difference except that I could proudly say, I have stepped up my game to a whole new level >.<

My first double match was against a pair where one of them is an ex-BAM player. An ex-national player?? OMG~~!!!

LOL

We lose by a small margin though. * Proud proud * >.<

21-18, 21-18 for both matches – LOST

Haha. The conditions of the courts there were terrible sorry to say.

The walls feels like hiding the shuttles when they hit it and we can hardly find where the shuttles were until it was just in front of us :3

The courts were cement and painted with paint and slippery and I sprained my ankle for the 10th time in my life during the first set. Ouch~

We continued putting pressure on them but the shuttles were freaking hard to see~!! >.<

Anyways, a nice experience indeed. Should the courts be better, we would have gotten them. Let’s try again next time~~!! :D

When earthquake struck Japan recently a month ago, what Malaysians or other manga geeks around the world would think was,

WTF??!!! WHY NO MANGA OF NARUTO, BLEACH AND ONE PIECE THIS WEEK!!!???

I share my deepest condolences to the Japanese community for the disaster they received one upon another, non stop.

First, there’s the massive earthquake.

Then tsunami.

Then nuclear reactor meltdown.

Then earthquake again.

Then radiation leaks.

Then earthquake again.

One by one these tragedies pile one after another non-stop and I could feel the Japanese nation bearing it even harder than before.

Seeing that lots are lazy to open up the newspaper just to have a view, here’s one factbox on Japan’s crisis now.

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been in UTP and there still lots of things yet to discover >.<

I have never regretted studying here despite the ups and downs I’ve been through with the university.

I mean, hey, nothing’s perfect right?

You got into here then this must mean there is an happy ending that you have yet to discover.

Sick Spree

The one thing I hate about UTP is that once one people is sick, everyone is sick.

I had had sore throat, cough and flu last 2 weeks and I finally won sore throat.

The other two are still pending =(

The part I hate the most:

I'm someone who is not sick easily but once sick, it just goes on and on and on~~

Sigh~~

It’s getting harder and harder to breathe and run when going for badminton training these days. T___________T

Heck, even the super cute Miao is also sick now LOL

When You Woke Up Crying. . .

It’s been a long time since I woke up from a dream crying.

And last night, I cried a lot.

You know how dreams tend to have weird plots here and there right?

I really can’t hold in my tears for no reason though.

The part which made me cried was when I have to part ways with a white dog ( yeah. . . you didn’t read it wrong ) which brought me to my destination but in the end, it can’t go on due to some obstacles.

I do not know what I choose in the end of my dream so I guess I most probably stayed by the dog’s side or bring it along regardless of the obstacles.

I’m guessing. . . Who’s the white dog now? My best friend? Lucky?!!! Or maybe even someone else.

I guess I’m a little childish in this sense though. LOL

I hope it’s not something bad that’s gonna happen soon in my life :(

What To Do Now?

Seriously, as soon as the events ended, I felt so bored.

When the event is on-going, I wanted freedom to come.

I guess you could call that human nature huh?

Instead, I’m really looking forward towards Chinese Orchestra lately. Must be because of wanting to improve on my instrument that made me do so.

A trip to Shanghai, China was confirmed instead of one to Taiwan this year.

Everyone was like “ OMG !!! But playing with orchestra from Shanghai is like Eho playing badminton with Lin Dan!!” LOL

The epic trip is confirmed to be on the July just before the midsem breaks. I hope it won’t clashes with out Test 1 then :3

What else to post?

Recently got scouted for UTP Badminton Team and . . .

I won’t say that it’s official yet but trainings have started and I’ve joined them. And the coach told everyone that selection for the team will be held soon for the championship match during mid year.

I guess he must have meant the inter-uni match huh?

Really looking forward to represent UTP in this one. Feel like adding another medal to my tally~~ XD

What else?

Friggin’ happy lately.

So overall, a good life I lead =)

April Fool Day

It’s been 20 hours and still counting and I haven’t got a single April Fool joke on my yet. Phew ~~

Truth is I hate April Fool jokes which really make you feel “What the $%^#&!!!”

I remember one time when I was in Form 3 and it was assembly time and it was April Fool Day too.

The assembly ended and because of the reason I was sitting cross legged throughout the assembly, my knee was somewhat “tangled” and can’t put it out straight.

And everyone was also leaving too!! My best friends thought I was playing a prank on them and they in the end. . .

. . . . . . . decided to leave me there T___________T

Imagine my facial expression that time. Best friends huh? HAHAHA

But in the end, we’re still best friends. No worries~~ =)
